BIG NEWS: The Radio Cure is Expanding!

Do you ever feel like listening to The Radio Cure only once a week isn't enough? Well we have some good news for you! Starting on Thursday, March 26, I'll be hosting a new, second show on WDUB! There was a hole in our programming schedule that needed to be filled, so I'll be filling it every week on Thursdays from 1:30-3:30 PM. The new show will have a different title and perhaps a different title, but the one thing that I can guarantee is that it'll be two hours of fantastic music! Even better is that it will be the show right before Radio Free Granville, the show hosted by my good friend and occasional co-host Jon, so there will be a solid four hours of quality tunes on WDUB! I'll have more information, including the new title, after I return from Spring Break.

That also reminds me to remind you that next week, there will not be a Radio Cure as Denison will be on Spring Break and WDUB will be shut down. Not to worry though, I'll be back the next week with more music than you can shake a stick at!

The National on P4K TV

The National did a live version of their fantastic Dark Was the Night song "So Far Around the Bend" for Pitchfork.tv that's up today. The compilation's co-creators, Bryce and Aaron Dessner, talk a little bit about the awesome album and then the band plays the track.

New St. Vincent - "Strangers"

I've been swooning over the georgous music of Annie Clark, a.k.a. St. Vincent since her 2007 debut, "Marry Me." Well Clark is back with a new one, "Actor" out on May 5, and I found today, via her Twitter, that she had a new song, "Strangers" up for download. Over a pretty clicking beat, Clark loops her own voice singing, "Make the black hole blacker." If this song is any indication, "Actor" will be towards to the top of a very crowded best of 2009 end of the year list.

Wilco + Feist = Greatest Collaboration Ever

Yep. Better than a PP&J. According to Pitchfork my favorite band and one of my favorite solo artists are joining forces for a song on the new Wilco album called "You and I." It'll be an interesting combination, seeing as Jeff Tweedy has a great folksy voice but Feist has a beautiful, soulful voice. Either way, I think the new Wilco record just pushed past the Grizzly Bear record as my most anticipated of the year.

Grizzly Bear Galore

Grizzly Bear's performance last night with the Brooklyn Philharmonic has been all the buzz on the interweb today, with videos popping up everywhere. I've been looking for a recording of the show, but even the always reliable nyctaper wasn't allowed to tape it. Maybe the band will release it on their own...and by maybe, I mean I really really hope so. Here's a couple videos in the meantime.
